Tell us about yourself.

I’m a mum of three and a wife. I moved to the UK with my family when I was five, so while my roots are Turkish, London is home. My background in clinical skincare was shaped by the amazing doctors and dermatologists I’ve worked with, and that’s what led me to create Skin Design London. My mission has always been to make skincare simple, effective, and transformative by blending science with creativity.

What led you to launch your skincare brand, and what inspired you to take that leap?

My clinical background is in treating real skin conditions like acne, pigmentation, and sensitivity with doctors and dermatologists. Seeing so many products fall short or irritate the skin, I knew something had to change. This led to the creation of DESIGNER COSMECEUTICALS®, a category that delivers prescription-level results without the irritation or downtime, with products designed to be both effective and easy to use. From this philosophy, we also developed the PRESCRIPTIVE ACTIVE® EDIT, a targeted system that helps clients understand their skin’s needs and how to use the products effectively. It’s all about doing what works, not doing more. When Skin Design London launched, we introduced products like SDL RETINOL GEL CRÈME and C ANTIOXIDANT GLOW: game-changers in how retinol and vitamin C are used. No peeling, just real results. At the heart of it all, my mission is simple, real skin transformation that helps people feel confident in their own skin.

You’ve built a cult following with Skin Design London’s signature treatments and transformative skincare. What does it mean to you to launch exclusively in the Middle East with Ounass, and what makes this moment particularly special?

This launch with Ounass is incredibly special because the Middle East values skincare that works. Ounass understands the power of exclusivity, and partnering with them aligns perfectly with Skin Design London’s philosophy. We’re bringing transformative DESIGNER COSMECEUTICALS® and our clinic-quality treatments to the region.

You’ve worked closely with doctors, dermatologists, and industry experts, your insights into skin health are truly unparalleled. What’s one truth about skincare you wish more people understood, but that often gets overlooked?

Real skin transformation doesn’t come from aggressive treatments, it comes from consistency, repair, and regeneration. We’ve been conditioned to chase sensations like stinging or peeling, thinking they signal results. But that’s not true skincare performance. There’s also this obsession with retinol percentages. The belief that higher percentages equal better results. That’s simply not the case. Over-prescribed formulas often lead to inflammation, damage, and sensitivity. Skin needs actives it can tolerate and respond to, building up over time, not ingredients it has to fight against. Skin needs time and consistency to regenerate, whether it’s fine lines, breakouts, or pigmentation. I create products with this in mind. How do you see the beauty industry evolving in the next few years? Any shifts or innovations you’re watching?

Clients are moving beyond trends and seeking real expertise. They want someone who truly understands skin. At Skin Design London, we don’t chase viral ingredients or textures; we create based on clinical experience, treating conditions like acne, pigmentation, and sensitivity. The future of beauty is about clinical results and real-world expertise. Clients are looking for trust and credibility, and that’s where we’re leading the way.

What is the best piece of beauty advice you’ve ever received and swear by?

Prioritise sleep: Skin repairs itself at night. I use targeted actives like FACE TIGHT peptides and RETEXTURISING SERUM when skin is most receptive. Hydrate—Inside and out. Drink water, but don’t skip topical hydration. Look for humectants and barrier boosters to keep skin strong. Choose actives that heal: Our formulas support regeneration- reducing inflammation, encouraging repair, and treating without irritation. Protect your face and your peace: Stress impacts skin.
