Eid al Adha is a key moment for me as a believer as I feel that it has a strong message. The Day of Arafat invites us to an introspection that we can live by distance with pilgrims in Makkah. This year, sadly due to the pandemic, the energy will be different. It also reminds me of unforgettable memories with family, a humorous energy filling the room as we compete for the best kofta recipes. Eid al Adha is about being dressed up. chatting and bonding over grilled meat with a glass of mint tea in our hands and live Hajj footage playing in the background. With family scattered across the globe, Eid becomes about calling the loved ones we don’t get enough of. When Ounass asked me to pick items I would want to receive or Gift for Eid, I had several things in mind: celebration, representation but also feeling authentically yourself. Wishing all of you an Eid Mubarak. Sofiane Si Merabet
